Ron Vaughn wood blocks have been the choice of professional performers, educators, conductors, arrangers and composers for over four decades. Ron’s wood blocks and other instruments can be heard on countless recordings and motion picture soundtracks throughout the world. Today, these fine instruments continue to be made at Ron Vaughn USA under Ron’s direct supervision.

The mallets that will bring out the full voice of this medium-sized block are Ron's MBM-3R rattan shaft mallets.
The size of the W-4 Wood Block is approx. 3" x 3 1/4" x 9 1/4".

As with all original Ron Vaughn Signature Voiced & Tuned Wood Blocks, each block is made one-at-a-time, (for over 50 years), and each block is tuned individually. Block contour geometries are created for ideal sound, with these contours being applied uniquely to each Ron Vaughn Signature block model, for its intended range, voice, and natural material of origin.
