The mallets that will bring out the full voice of this larger block are Ron's LBM-3R rattan shaft mallets.

As with all original Ron Vaughn Signature Voiced & Tuned Wood Blocks, each block is made one-at-a-time, (for over 50 years), and each block is tuned individually. Block contour geometries are created for ideal sound, with these contours being applied uniquely to each Ron Vaughn Signature block model, for its intended range, voice, and natural material of origin.
